Permit records show what a city approved, not what owners planned. Beverly Hills sits in Los Angeles County, California, and issues its own building permits. So we screened its monthly reports for roof-scope work, month by month.
This page is a screen of public records, not a market study. It cannot show how much roofing work owners bought, or what any project cost.

What the snapshot counts
Each number below counts a record in a monthly issued-building report, not a finished roof. We sorted the records we kept into two plain classes: new or replacement roofing, and repair.
Where the numbers come from
Our source is the City's monthly issued-building reports for January through July 2026. We read every page and searched the text for roof, roofing, reroof, re-roof, roofed and rooftop. For your own lookup, start at the City's permit records page.
A record qualified only when the scope named a re-roof, new roofing, a material change, or a repair. Roof decks, rooftop equipment, vent outlets, holes cut through a roof, and roofed enclosures did not qualify. Broad remodels, roof-to-remain notes and one no-roof-work row also fell out.

Monthly roof-work counts, January to July 2026
Across those seven months, three records described replacement or new roofing, and one described a repair. Nineteen records mentioned a roof word at all, so most mentions were not roof work.
| Month | Replacement or new roofing | Roof repair | Records mentioning a roof word | Included record keys |

The four records we kept
Three kept records read as replacement or new roofing, the scope behind a full roof replacement. The fourth named roof repair inside a wider remodel. We publish only the public record ID and the scope wording, with no address or applicant.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026-02-r03 | February 2026 | BS2600746 | Replacement or new roofing | Main house re-roof with attached garage; 3,000 square feet stated in source |
| 2026-03-r02 | March 2026 | BS2502115 | Replacement or new roofing | Replace existing wood-shake roofing with new metal roof |
| 2026-06-r01 | June 2026 | BS2600051 | Roof repair | Interior remodel, exterior facade and roof repair |
| 2026-07-r01 | July 2026 | BS2506503 | Replacement or new roofing | Remove existing roof eaves; new roof parapet/projections; new roofing |
What these records cannot tell you
Read these counts as a small sample, not a city total. Monthly building reports may miss some roofing permit types the City issues. We stopped at July, so August sits outside this screen.
When you need a real number for a roof repair or a re-roof, we price the actual work. The sales estimate itself is free. A written roof inspection report is paid work, and we price it on its own.
